Using Speech-to-Text
Voice recorder technology and transcription services can offer users a lot of advantages
STT is the opposite feature to TTS. Users can record and send voice messages to the conversation. Then the system will convert the voice message into a text message.
The STT feature is available for the following channels: Webchat, Facebook Messenger, Line, Skype and Telegram and only for bots with supported languages. Otherwise, the system will disable the STT icon in the chat.
In the Inbox and Reports sections, STT messages are displayed as text messages.
If a user sends a too long audio message to the bot, the TTS feature may temporarily stop working and you will get the notification in the left side menu: ‘STT Limit Exceeded. Your bot [botName] (id [botID]) has exceeded the limitation for STT requests per hour. We will contact you.’ The bot will be sending the following message every time a user sends an audio message to the bot: ‘Speech-to-Text is temporarily disabled. The bot has reached the hourly limit of Speech-To-Text usage.”
