Facebook API GDPR compliance (since 16.12.2020)
Facebook is working to always be compliant with the most recent privacy rules in Europe. As a result, starting with December 16th, 2020, the Facebook Messenger API will be limited for several categories of users, Pages and Applications:
- European pages, all chats
- Pages with admins in Europe, all chats
- Any chats for users in Europe
We recommend providing an alternate experience using quick replies, text, and inline URLs for webviews for the impacted scenarios. The two tables that follow provide:
